Children's Minstry

Hixson First Baptist is privileged to partner with families and parents in our ministry to children. We understand that children are a special gift from God and we seek to help them discover the potential they have through Jesus Christ. It is our desire that every child will know the love of God through our ministry.

Our theme for Children's ministry is Kids R.O.C.K. (which is translated as "Kids Radical Obedience to Christ our King). Every week and throughout the year, you'll discover a well-rounded program that provides a nurturing and encouraging environment in which your child will grow spiritually and develop lasting frienships.

Kingdom Kids (Sunday morning Bible study), Kids in the Word (Bible Drill and Bible Buddies), Kids on Mission ( R.A.'s and G.A.'s), and Kids Praise, Vacation Bible School, and summer camps are just a few of the diverse programs available for children in 1st-5th grades.

We make every effort to program activities that make learning God's Word fun and rewarding. Fun, friendship, and faith are priorities for the children's ministry staff. Call our church office for more information at (423) 877-2467.

Preschool Ministry

We love children at Hixson First Baptist! From the infant nursery through kindergarten, the preschool ministry exists to nurture your child in the love of Jesus. We strive to provide a caring and safe environment for your preschooler to learn about His love in all of our various ministries.

During our Sunday School hour, we offer eight classes for children birth through kindergarten. Other preschool programs include Children's Choir, Mission Friends, Hands-On Discipleship classes for ages 3-5; and during Sunday morning's worship service, we invite our pre-K and kindergartners to children's church at Kids Own Worship. Extended session care is provided for children ages birth through 2, and for older children during all other regularly scheduled church events. We also have some special information about security for our precious ones.

In order to help you feel comfortable leaving your children with us during your visit, we have adopted security policies and procedures that are followed at each service. We would love to assist you in getting your child settled into his/her class.
