Preschool Ministry: Security

It is our desire that you feel comfortable leaving your child in our care during your visit. This page will answer some questions you may have about our security procedures.

To ensure the safety and security of all children in our preschool department, we have adopted the following policies and procedures. These security procedures are enforced at each HFBC service or function, in order to allow you the peace of mind to fully participate in the function you are attending.

We currently use a temporary adhesive labeling system, with unique numbers assigned to each child who attends a given service or event at HFBC. When you bring your child to class, please complete a label including the child's name and any pertinent information for the caregivers. Place the label on your child's back and keep the numbered stub with you. When you return to pick up your child, simply turn in the stub to a nursery worker. Children will NOT be released to anyone without the matching stub, and under no circumstances are released to a sibling under 18 years of age. Only an adult with the matching stub is allowed to pick up your child.

Please make a note of the number on your stub. In the event your child needs you during a worship service, that number will be displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the PowerPoint screen. If you are needed while in another part of the building, you will be contacted directly.

We ask that you not come to "look in" on your child. This may upset your child or other children and disrupt the teaching process.

You may drop your child off up to 15 minutes prior to the start of the function you are attending; please come to pick up your child promptly following the service or function. We also ask that you not bring personal toys from home.

Bring only a well child with no symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, fever, rash, open sores, or runny nose (anything other than clear) within the last 24 hours.
