Missions
Acts 1:8 states ..."and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth."

Being "on mission" with God is not a noun. It is not about sitting in a classroom working through a mission handbook or listening to a good sermon. Being "on mission" with God is an active verb. It implies going and serving. It is about finding unique ways to take the healing Good News of Jesus Christ outward into a sick, hurting world...out into your Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth.
Here at Hixson First Baptist, we believe there are many ways to be actively"on mission" with God. We are discovering new opportunities to serve in our local community, in our State, in our Nation and even overseas. We are interested in all different avenues for folks to become involved in reaching out and touching that hurting world around us.

Our annual giving through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program, Lottie Moon and Anne Armstrong Offerings support missionaries both in the USA and overseas. In addition, we have special mission emphasis offerings supporting a number of like-minded entities in their quest to serve our local community.

Nationally, we are investigating and seeking a missionary family with whom we can partner, as they continue to minister and plant churches in a very needy and lost area.

Internationally, at present, we are partnering with a Southern Baptist Missionary family engaging Muslims through the median of education and sports. We are anticipating a mission support trip to work with them in person in 2020.
