Upward
Our Upward Basketball & Cheering League is a fun, Christ-centered sports program for kids. Through practices, games, and devotions, players learn skills on the court and discover what it means to follow Jesus with character, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Who Can Participate?
Basketball: K5 through 10th grade, boys and girls
Cheer: K5 through 10th grade, girls
Upward is designed for all skill levels—whether your child is just starting out or has been playing for years.
Season Overview
Each season includes:
Player Evaluations – Short evaluation nights at the HFBC gym to help us create balanced teams. (Cheerleaders also use this time to try on uniforms.)
Weekly Practices – One practice per week beginning in early December.
Games – Saturday games running from early January through early March.
Tournament & Celebration Sunday – End-of-season tournament and a special celebration service to recognize players, families, and volunteers.
Registration & Cost
Early Registration: Online early registration window each fall with a discounted rate
Regular Registration: Standard rate after the early registration deadline
Optional Gear: Basketball shorts are available for an additional cost
